Brent Self-neglect and Hoarding Policy

In January 2020, The Safeguarding Adults Board agreed a Self-Neglect Policy and Toolkit to provide a pathway for practitioners when working with people who self-neglect including those who exhibit hoarding behaviours.

The policy and the toolkit draw on the evidence base of what good looks like. They aim to ensure a multi-agency approach to support people who self-neglect to change their behaviour and reduce the risks posed to themselves and others.
