Brent Self-Neglect Toolkit

In October 2025, the Safeguarding Adults Board relaunched the Brent Self-Neglect Toolkit to provide a pathway for practitioners when working with people who self-neglect, including those who exhibit hoarding behaviours.The toolkit draws on the evidence base of what good looks like. It aims to ensure a multi-agency approach to support people who self-neglect to change their behaviour and reduce the risks posed to themselves and others.
